    Hours before the announcement, Burna Boy and members of his crew were alleged to have been involved in a physical confrontation with DJ Tunez, whose real name is Michael Babatunde Adeyinka.

    Reports are that the incident occurred inside a nightclub, where a disagreement reportedly escalated into a scuffle.

    Reacting to the development, the DJ body, in a statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

    Expressed support for DJ Tunez and urged its members to stand united.

    “Showing their support for Tunez.

    The Nigerian DJ Association has issued a press statement to all disc jockeys to avoid playing the singer’s song,” the statement read.

    Enforcing a strict ban on DJs worldwide pending a full investigation into the ugly clash.

    Afrobeats Shaken: Burna Boy Sidelined Over Tunez Assault Claims

    It further urged members to reject discrimination and uphold the values of equality and respect.

    “Please ensure freedom and equality for all DJs nationwide so they can flourish.

    We cannot all succeed when half of us are being held back.

    “The Nigerian DJ is fully against the discrimination of any of its #NDJ,” it reads further.

    Silence reigns: Burna Boy and his team have issued no response yet to the explosive clash allegations or the DJ Association’s sweeping playlist ban.
