    Federal High Court for Abuja, Justice Obiora Egwuatu don yan say di former JAMB Registrar, wey him name na Mr. Dibu Ojerinde, no fit run from the ₦5.2 billion fraud case wey ICPC carry come against am.

    Di court reject Ojerinde no-case submission on Tuesday, as dem talk say Di evidence wey ICPC show na enough to make am answer di mata.

    Court Talk Say Ojerinde Get Case to Answer

    Justice Egwuatu said witnesses strongly linked Ojerinde to the alleged crime in court.

    Di judge yan say:

    “No-case submission is useless; prosecution presented enough evidence requiring the defendant to explain himself,” the statement said.

    Di judge come adjourn di case till July 16, 2025, make Ojerinde start to prepare how e go take defend himself for di mata.

    Background to di Mata

    Dibu Ojerinde, wey be former oga for JAMB and NECO, first face di court inside July 2021 with 18 serious charges.

    Charges allege he misappropriated public funds, abused office, and conspired to defraud the federal government.

    ICPC lawyer Shogunle said charges breach laws, including sections 19, 24, 25 and Advance Fee Fraud Act.

    Plea Bargain Fail, Trial Still Dey Go
