The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has alerted the public to the activities of fraudsters impersonating the commission through a fake website and email addresses.
In a strongly worded disclaimer issued on December 28, 2025, the commission distanced itself from any entity using the domain www.ncdc-gov.com or emails such as info@ncdc-gov.com, describing them as unauthorised and misleading.
The statement, signed by James Abel Uloko, JP, Executive Director, Corporate Services, emphasised that the commission, established under the North Central Development Commission (Establishment) Act, 2024, with its board constituted in 2025, has no link to these impostors.
It specifically rejected claims of operations from the World Trade Center Complex in Abuja or any unauthorised address.
The official headquarters of the NCDC is at 15, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Lafia, Nasarawa State. In Abuja, it temporarily operates from the Nasarawa State Liaison Office in the Blue Springs Hotel Building, Central Area, provided by the Nasarawa State Government.
“The Commission categorically states that it has no affiliation, relationship, or operational connection with any individual or entity using a similar name,” the disclaimer stated.
It urged the public, government agencies, development partners, and stakeholders to verify all communications or transactions claiming to be from the NCDC only through authorised channels at the specified locations.
The commission declared it would not be liable for any losses arising from dealings with these fraudsters and has reported the matter to relevant authorities.
This warning comes as the newly established NCDC begins operations to tackle developmental challenges in the North Central zone, including infrastructure deficits, insecurity, and economic empowerment.
The public is advised to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
