Lt.-Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces, conducted a comprehensive inspection on Tuesday to assess the preparedness of the military in safeguarding security during the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.

According to report, this critical review underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of millions of pilgrims visiting the Holy Sites.

Acting under the guidance of the Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman, Lt.-Gen. Al-Ruwaili focused his inspection on various branches of the Armed Forces actively engaged in Hajj operations.

A key highlight of the visit was the evaluation of the Air Forces group stationed at Arafat Airport, one of the pivotal locations during the pilgrimage.

Lt.-Gen. Al-Ruwaili emphasized the vital role played by the Air Force in providing advanced aerial support.

This includes continuous surveillance and reconnaissance missions to monitor the airspace over the Holy Sites, ensuring rapid identification and response to any potential security threats.

The Air Force’s deployment of cutting-edge technology and aircraft enhances situational awareness and airspace control.

Which are essential for maintaining order during the densely populated pilgrimage period.

Naval Forces’ Critical Role in Maritime Security and Rescue Operations

In addition to the Air Forces, the Naval Forces have been tasked with securing Saudi Arabia’s seaports, which serve as entry points for pilgrims arriving by sea.

The Naval units are responsible for inspecting and managing suspicious materials to prevent any security breaches.

Moreover, specialized diving teams and rescue units are on standby to provide immediate assistance in maritime emergencies.

Reinforcing the comprehensive nature of the security framework.

    Comprehensive Medical Support for Pilgrims

Recognizing the health challenges associated with hosting millions of pilgrims.

The Ministry of Defense has implemented an extensive medical plan to provide prompt and effective healthcare services.

This plan encompasses 36 strategically located health centers equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs.

Facilities offer over 1,040 beds; 1,790 professionals staff them.

The medical teams are prepared to deliver critical care, manage emergencies.

And support the overall health and safety of pilgrims throughout the Hajj period.

Commitment to Pilgrim Safety and Security

Lt.-Gen. Al-Ruwaili’s inspection reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing dedication to ensuring a secure and well-coordinated environment for the Hajj pilgrimage.

The multi-layered security approach integrates air, sea, and land operations, supported by robust medical infrastructure to address any contingencies.

This meticulous preparation aligns with the Kingdom’s broader vision of enhancing the Hajj experience through safety, efficiency, and humanitarian care.

By leveraging advanced military capabilities and comprehensive health services.

Saudi Arabia continues to uphold its responsibility as the custodian of the two Holy Mosques.

Prioritizing the welfare of pilgrims from around the globe.

As millions of Muslims converge on Makkah for one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.

The vigilance and readiness of Saudi Arabia’s Armed Forces remain paramount.

Lt.-Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili’s inspection serves as a testament to the Kingdom’s proactive measures to safeguard the pilgrimage.

Security forces ensure spiritual devotion meets highest standards.

With coordinated efforts across the Air Force, Naval Forces, and health services, Saudi Arabia stands prepared to address any security challenges and provide comprehensive support to pilgrims.

Reinforcing its role as a global leader in managing large-scale religious events safely and effectively.
