Pope Leo XIV has reacted to the deadly violent attacks that has been ramping across different parts of Nigeria over the years now.
According to nreports, he expressed deep sorrow over the dire situation and offered his sincere prayers for victims of terrorism and communal violence.
Urgent Call: Intensify Efforts Against Perpetrators
Describing the situation as deeply troubling, he urged Nigeria authorities to intensify efforts to protect citizens and bring the Perpetrators to justice.
“It is with sorrow and concern that I learned of the recent attacks against various communities in Nigeria, leading to a heavy loss of life.”
“I express my prayerful closeness to all the victims of violence and terrorism.
I likewise hope that the competent authorities will continue to work with determination to ensure the safety and protection of the life of every citizen,” the Pope wrote.
He made this comments amid renewed security concerns following the attack that left dozens dead, chattered homes, destroyed hope, and residents displaced across several communities.
Kwara: Gunmen Launch Deadly Assault on Woro Village
In Kwara State, gunmen launched a deadly assault on Woro village in Kaima Local Government Area.
The attackers were said to have set shops on fire and lunched an attack on the residence of a traditional ruler.
Creating panic as injured residents fled into nearby bushes to escape the violence.
More than 20 persons were reportedly killed by suspected bandits who attacked the area.

The residents of the community reported that the assailants stormed the community in large numbers.
