A 23-year-old man, Abidemi Emmanuel, who allegedly raped a popular Lagos content creator known as Fems Thrift and her friend ha sbeen remanded.
According to reports, he was brought before a magistrate court, and the case was adjourned until March 19, 2026, for further hearing.
Lagos Police PRO Confirms Key Development
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, reportedly confirmed the development.
She said the suspect had been arraigned and remanded in custody, and that investigations were still ongoing.
Reports state Emmanuel allegedly lured Fems Thrift and her friend with a fake job offer.
The suspect invited them to Ajao Estate on February 8, 2026, for a modelling gig.
He then sexually assaulted both victims after bringing them to that specific location last week.
Viral Video: Content Creator Details Instagram Contact
According to reports, in a viral video shared online, the content creator narrated that Emmanuel had contacted her on Instagram.
She stated that he allegedly offered her N140,000 for a modelling job and asked her to promote the brand on her social media platforms.
Content Creator’s Empty Apartment Visit with Friend
She further explained that she went to the apartment around 11 a.m. with her friend for safety, but they found the place empty.
And also claimed that he took their phones, transferred private photos and videos to himself.
After AirDroping their nude pictures and videos, he threatened to publish the materials online if they reported the incident.
Following strong reactions and public outcry on social media, the police reportedly arrested Emmanuel on February 14, 2026.
