Blord, whose real name is Linus Williams Ifejirika, a prominent Nigerian crypto entrepreneur and CEO of Blord Group, faces fresh legal troubles stemming from a prolonged feud with social media activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Their rivalry ignited in October 2025 during a China business trip meant to source affordable goods for Nigerian entrepreneurs.

VDM accused Blord of fraud, including inflated prices on phones and cars, sparking heated social media clashes, petitions to authorities, and even Blord’s Instagram account going offline briefly.

In February, Blord launched a fintech app for gift cards, bill payments, and crypto, naming it “Ratel”—a term tied to VDM’s fanbase and activism brand.
Blord claimed he trademarked “Ratel” on January 19, 2026, and sent a cease-and-desist letter to VDM via his lawyer.
VDM Fires Back, Claims 2024 Ratel Trademark
Blord later renamed the app “Ratels” amid demands for trademark proof and shockingly called the drama a scripted publicity stunt.
Tensions peaked when Blord allegedly impersonated VDM to promote his ventures.
He mounted billboards and fliers featuring VDM’s image, falsely claiming a N500 million brand ambassador deal.
Blord also forged documents, including international flight tickets in VDM’s name, to bolster the scam.
VDM’s Petition Leads to Blord’s Dramatic Police Arrest
These actions led to a police petition by VDM, culminating in Blord’s arrest.
On April 1, 2026, at the Federal High Court in Abuja before Justice Emeka Nwite, Blord was arraigned on three counts: impersonation, forgery, and obtaining by false pretence, offences under Sections 78(2)(b), 308(a), and 309 of the Penal Code.
The charge sheet detailed how Linus Williams, between March 20-27, 2026, conspired with others to forge the tickets and used VDM’s image without consent, causing potential harm.
Pleading not guilty, Blord’s counsel sought bail, but the prosecution opposed it due to the offence’s gravity.
