The 2nd substantive council meeting of ADC Non-Indigene Jigawa State convened on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Held at Asokoro, Dutse, it drew key stakeholders from across Jigawa.
Attendees discussed pressing non-indigene issues, strategies, and community integration. The event underscored ADC’s commitment to unity and advocacy in Jigawa State, Nigeria, fostering productive dialogue.
ADC Meeting Draws Directors, Executives, LGA Coordinators
According reports, the meeting which comprises the stakeholders (Directors), the state executive officers, the local government coordinators.
Ward leaders and polling unit coordinators monitor the wing’s progress across all areas.
Jigawa State Chairman Barr. C.K. Udeoba chaired the meeting. ADC Non-Indigene Jigawa Director General Comrade Chidiebere Charles Opara attended.
The Director Admin and Finance – Comrade Abdulmumin A. Sani, the Director Media and Communication, Comrade Joel UDEH.


Comrade Grace David Leads Women, Youth Affairs
The Director Women Affairs, and Youth Development – Comrade Grace David (Amaraya) who also doubled as the woman leader of the ADC Non-Indigene Jigawa State.
Others in attendance are the State Secretary, Comrade Al’amin Umar Ibrahim (Dan Zaria), the State Media and Publicity Secretary – Comrade Samson Samaila Wayo.
State Deputy Media and Publicity Secretary – Comrade Amin Ishaku, State Organizing Secretary – Comrade Charity Nweke, the Dutse Local Government Coordinator – Comrade Emmanuel Chinedu Nwakaozor.
The Deputy Coordinator, Comrade Amos Baba (Baby Boy), the Dutse Youth leader – Comrade George, the Dutse Financial Secretary – Comrade Onyekachi Akwuobi.
The meeting also received apologies from the State Treasurer – Comrade Chiamaka Milka Ukoh who traveled for her the funeral of her father.
State Financial Secretary Mary Dashe Vincent Attends
The State Financial Secretary – Comrade (Mrs) Mary Dashe Vincent who was on official duty, Comrade (Mrs) Esther O. Onyeagam.
Dutse Local Government Woman Leader and other LGA leaders missed the meeting. They were unavoidably absent due to soaring transportation fares.
This hike stems from bad governance under APC President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. We vow to unseat them in the next general elections.
We are very much aware of his manipulative power but this time around it would be a failure to him because Nigerians have risen up to take back their country.
And this has reshape in a way and many manner the child of no body who become somebody without bribery and corruption.
Without further and unnecessary bloodshed; without looking for what would be the next meal; without looking for where to work or funds to start up SMEs.
Also without continuous consumption rather Production before consumption; without reckless borrowing for unseen projects.


Council Targets Communication Gaps in Key Meeting
In the meeting, the council looked at critical areas amongst which are bridging of communication gaps at all levels.
Been proactive and steadfast in our grassroots mobilization focusing more on PVC registration and transfers to voting areas in order to beat the antics of the PBAT APC winning strategy which is already a failure.
Amongst other issues looked into was the inaugural ceremony the wing.
The Jigawa State ADC party leadership, led by His Excellency.
The former deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Alh. Ahmed Mahmud Gumel pleaded to wing to be patience till after the party Congresses to enable the state have a full house during the ceremony proper.
Grace David Urges Action via Women Director Role
This plea was made through the Director Women Affairs, Comrade Ms. Grace David (Amaraya).
Still on the inauguration, which comprises all the leadership from the polling units down to the State level.
The wing further plead the assistance of well meaning Nigerians for sponsorship.
The council was advised to work departmentally in order to have a harmonized work force.
The enlisted departments are:
- The Admin and Finance
- The Media and Communication
- The Strategic planning
- The Grassroots Mobilization.
DG Pushes Medical Department, Youth, Security Units
The Women and Youth Development, the Security, Intelligence and Legal department. The DG also spoke on bringing onboard the Medical Department.
Furthermore, following the recent surge in the party, there is the need for more hands.
In that manner the following appointments were made:
- Mrs. Wakgwah Iodzoua was appointed the State Deputy Organizing Secretary
- Mallam Ibrahim Lawal was appointed the State Auditor 2
- Mrs. Dibulo Peace Nnenna serves as Zonal Coordinator for Hadejia Emirates Council. She supervises and reports activities across all local governments.
These appointments are effective from Saturday April 4, 2026, following the immediate ratification by the council.
Mrs. Wakgwah Iodzoua, for appointees, pledged commitment, support, leveraging unionist grassroots experience.
Lastly, the council urged the State Chairman, C.K Udeoba, Esq., to be proactive and responsive to his duties by beginning his local government visitation.


DG Opara Stresses Bureaucratic Accountability, Transparency
The Director General, Comrade Chidiebere Charles Opara gave his closing remarks by emphasising on pure Bureaucratic administration for accountability and transparency.
Every department shall report and account for all under its aegis.
He further reiterated that this wing which is an integral part of the ADC in the State will not tolerate any oversight functions or double standard from officers of this great association.
He commended the efforts everyone so far tasked all for more membership drive-he concluded.
Cmdr Charity Nweke adjourned meeting, seconded by Cmdr Emmanuel Chinedu Nwakaozor, until next council session.
