Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, Akwa Ibom’s rep on the NDDC Governing Board, addressed CNG Autogas Conversion Training graduates with a powerful charge.

He urged the first set of completers to embrace their vital roles boldly in Nigeria’s shifting energy landscape.

Nkono Urges CNG Grads: Be Solution Providers, Tackle Challenges

Nkono challenged them to view themselves as true “solution providers,” ready to tackle national challenges head-on.

These graduates now stand as key players, driving innovation and sustainability in the evolving CNG energy sector.

Apostle Nkono delivered his charge on Wednesday in Uyo, speaking directly to journalists after the training’s closing ceremony.

The intensive six-week CNG Autogas Conversion program had just wrapped up successfully at a key location.

It took place at the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre in Ikot Ada Idem, Ibiono Ibom LGA.

This event marked a milestone, empowering graduates amid Nigeria’s push for cleaner energy solutions nationwide.

Nkono Hails 400 Youths’ Historic Graduation Milestone

Apostle Nkono described the graduation of 400 youths as a historic step forward for regional development.

These trainees hailed from all nine NDDC mandate states, showcasing broad inclusivity and unity.

The Board member highlighted this as deliberate proof of the Commission’s unwavering dedication.

It equips Niger Deltans with globally relevant skills, boosting employability in the modern energy sector.

“This training was not only about collecting a certificate; it was about creating solutions to our energy needs.”

Ogbuku: CNG Trainees Equipped for Self-Reliance, Economic Boost

Just as our Managing Director, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, pointed out, they have been equipped to become self-reliant and contribute to the economy of the region and nation.

“I congratulate and wish them well,” he asserted.

Nkono continued: “The problems of today, like the need for cheaper, cleaner energy, are the business opportunities explored by the NDDC for Niger Deltans.

We represent transformative leadership which adds value to our people.”

The Commissioner also enjoined the graduands to make judicious use of the toolkits and starter packs offered.

“Those toolkits they are going home with are not for sale. I urge them not to mortgage their future for quick gains.”

The event had representatives from the PI-CNG, Akwa Ibom State Government, NELFUND, and the management of the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre in attendance.
