Court of Appeal don say no to APC request to resist their appeal wey dem drop before

On Friday, June 13, 2025, di Court of Appeal wey dey Akure finally yan say No to APC request to relist their appeal wey dem bin drop before.

Dis appeal na di one wey concern di Federal High Court judgment wey nullify di controversial October 15, 2022 local government elections for Osun State.

Di elections wey produce APC council chairmen dem, but di court talk say e no valid.

Since then, gbege don dey as APC dey claim say Court of Appeal don reinstate their chairmen, but PDP no gree at all.

PDP talk say na lie and APC dey twist court judgment to suit their political wahala.

Di Court of Appeal, led by Justice Peter Obiorah, come clear di mata well well on Friday.

E talk say APC dey misrepresent di February 10, 2025 judgment, and court never reinstate any sacked APC chairmen.

Di court warn APC sharply to stop to dey use judiciary like say na their political party branch.

Justice Obiorah talk say, “Volenti non fit injuria,” meaning say if you cause wahala for yourself, no complain.

E add say equity dey help pipo wey dey alert, no be lazy pipo.

Di court question why APC just siddon dey sleep for two years while their appeal dey waka comot.

E talk say na only one of di three appellants dey try relist di appeal alone, and even that one no get correct reason why dem delay to submit court records.

Di court talk say, “If APC really sincere, why dem go leave the case for two years?

Why dem no pursue am well

Dis kain laziness no go help anybody.”

Justice Obiorah also mention say APC don try similar appeal before, but dem no take am serious.

Di court reject APC attempt to bring back di appeal, warn say if dem allow am, confusion go scatter everywhere.

So, di court finally dismiss the appeal because e no get any merit.

Meanwhile, the Osun State government, through Commissioner for Information Kolapo Alimi, hail the court decision.

E talk say di ruling confirm say di Federal High Court judgment wey sack di APC chairmen still dey valid and binding.

Alimi accuse APC of causing unnecessary political crisis wey don cause loss of lives and properties.

E talk say APC suppose apologise to Osun pipo for the wahala dem cause.

For di other hand, APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi no gree with di state government.

E claim say di recent ruling no affect the February 10, 2025 judgment wey APC say reinstate their chairmen and councillors.

Olabisi talk say only Supreme Court fit overturn that judgment, and no appeal dey there now.

E ask pipo to ignore what e call “deliberate misinformation” by the state government, insist say APC officials still dey office based on earlier court ruling.

PDP for Osun come blast APC for trying to twist court ruling and blackmail judiciary.

PDP chairman Sunday Bisi talk say APC’s claim na disgraceful lie and e no get any legal backing.

E say court don make am clear say APC appeal don fail and no be reinstatement.

Bisi also accuse APC of threatening law enforcement agencies and local councils with false information.

Di whole mata na big political drama wey don make Osun local government councils dey under lock and key since February 2025.

Both parties dey fight tooth and nail for control.

Federal government dey support APC by holding back local government allocations, but Osun state government dey challenge that move for Supreme Court.

So, di gist be say on June 13, 2025, Court of Appeal for Akure reject APC plea to bring back their appeal for nullified Osun local government election.

Court talk say APC no serious, dem cause their own problem, and dem no fit complain.

Court warn APC to stop to use judiciary for political play.

Osun government happy, APC still dey shout say dem get valid judgment.

PDP dey laugh and accuse APC of lies. Meanwhile, local government councils still dey locked, and pipo dey wonder when peace go return.

Na so di koko be. APC don collect big slap from court, but dem still dey try play political drama.

Osun pipo just dey watch as dis legal wahala dey scatter everywhere.

Dis court don talk, but APC no gree hear word. Di mata don turn serious gbege wey fit affect peace for dis state.

Na so politics for Naija be plenty noise, plenty wahala, and no clear solution for now.
