The commitment of Governor Umo Eno’s administration to women’s inclusiveness and economic empowerment took center stage on Monday during the state government’s ‘Women Arise’ sensitization tour in Eket Local Government Area.
At Eket City Hall event, Akwa Ibom’s NDDC Governing Board State Representative addressed the enthusiastic gathering of women leaders.
Nkono Praises Eno’s Women Policies
Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono commended Governor Eno for his deliberate policies.
These initiatives focus on significantly improving women’s lives across the state.
His praise highlighted targeted efforts in empowerment, education, and welfare, inspiring continued progress for female residents in the region.
Apostle Nkono described the Governor’s initiatives as evidence of his dedication to ensuring that women become self-reliant and economically productive.
“The Governor has shown, through action, that he believes in the capacity of our women,” Apostle Nkono said.
“His support for women’s inclusiveness is a reality we are witnessing.”
NDDC Commissioner: Eket Women’s Unwavering Loyalty Assured
The NDDC Commissioner issued a strong assurance of unwavering loyalty from Eket women.
Declaring that the women, who played a decisive role in the 2023 elections, remain totally united behind Governor Umo Eno and are prepared to replicate.
The even surpass, their previous efforts in the 2027 general elections.
“It is now an established fact that our dear Governor, come 2027, does not have any challenge as far as voting and elections are concerned.
I want to use this opportunity to reaffirm that as far as Eket women are concerned, I know them and can vouch for them.
Once they declare for you, they will stand with you and deliver votes en bloc.”

The call empowered attendees to spread awareness actively, fostering broader community engagement and fulfilling their vital civic duties effectively.

The NDDC State Representative urged continued aggressive sensitization of women to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards promptly and responsibly.
