Hon. Fred Agbedi, who is a one of the members of the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Affairs,  said that the opposition stood for Nigerians during the session on the e-transmission of election results.

According to reports that on Tuesday, some members of the House of Representatives walked out of the House in protest against the move to reverse the passage of the Electoral Act Amendment bill.

Hon. Fred Agbedi Channels TV’s Politics Today

Reacting on Tuesday in an interview on ‘Politics Today’.

A programme on Channels Television, Agbedi hailed the opposition for their action.

He vividly stated that the opposition lawmakers were energetically chanting slogans as they staged a dramatic walkout from the chamber.

He further added that the tense situation over e-transmission should never have escalated to such a disruptive level.

Agbedi Glad Opposition Boldly, Unitedly Showed Strong Displeasure

Nevertheless, he expressed genuine gladness that the opposition boldly demonstrated their strong displeasure in a unified manner.

The lawmaker said, “The Reps members were chanting as they staged a walkout of the House. It showed their displeasure.

“It couldn’t have led to that level, but I say kudos to the opposition. They made me proud.

They did their best, and they stood for Nigeria and Nigerians, and for the right thing to be done.”

“However, I think that chanting got to the point when the majority part, APC, decided to make it a party affair.”

It would be recalled that members of the House of Representatives chanted “APC Ole,” following the adoption of Clause 60(3) of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.

Nigerians Wonder: Would Opposition Shout ‘Ole’ Over Money Sharing?

But the question in the mind of Nigerians today remains, assuming it was money sharing, would they have been shouting ole?

Are there still APC opposition in this country?

Or is this really one Nigeria speaking in the midst of lawmakers?

Funny thing is that people will stii decamp to Apc tomorrow amongst those chanting.
