    Ace producer Lemmy Jackson has described his induction into the AMAN Hall of Fame as the true hallmark of his remarkable career, saying the honour has renewed his commitment to reposition Nigeria’s creative industry.

    He was also decorated with the AMAN Special Icon Award by the Artist Management Association in Nigeria (AMAN) for championing Nigeria’s golden era of music revolution.

    Jackson Award Validates Pioneering Afro-Reggae Fusion

    The recognition, presented by the association, formed part of AMAN’s 30-year anniversary celebrations.

    Jackson said the award validates the pioneering experiment he initiated years ago, fusing Afro music with a distinct African reggae flavour.

    Also, noted doubted innovations now foundation of modern African music evolution globally.

    He expressed deep excitement sharing stage with Afrobeat stars like Davido, AMAN award winners.

    He praised their achievements as a reflection of African music’s growth, maturity, and global influence.

    Chapter In African Music

    According to Jackson, “This award has given me fresh fire.

    For the past ten years, I have been painstakingly building a revolutionary sound, something that blends modern rhythm with the deep heartbeat of our traditional music.

    Tonight has shown me that the time has come. I am ready to bring this new wave to life, and I believe it will open a new chapter in African music.”

    The ceremony also featured notable category winners.

    AT Amanda clinched the Fashion Designer of the Year Award, while Johnny Drille won Songwriter of the Year.

    Davido emerged as Male Artiste of the Year, and Tems was honoured as Female Artiste of the Year, rounding off a night dedicated to excellence and creativity across Nigeria’s entertainment sector.

    Veteran Nigerian music producer Lemmy Otu Jackson was formally inducted into the AMAN Hall of Fame by the Artist Management Association in Nigeria (AMAN).

    He also received the AMAN Special Icon Award for Championing Nigeria’s Golden Era of Music Revolution. The recognition was part of AMAN’s 30-year anniversary celebrations.

    The event held on Wednesday, November 26, at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, drew inside a diverse gathering of Nollywood actors, musicians, comedians.

    And industry stakeholders who came to witness the honours and mark three decades of AMAN’s contributions to the entertainment sector.

    Among the attendees were Charles Oputa (Charlie Boy), Dawn Jesse, and other prominent figures from Nollywood and the music industry.

    Their presence highlighted the significance of AMAN’s 30-year milestone and reinforced the respect for all the honourees.

    He hosted evening with expertise, ensuring the ceremony flowed smoothly, dignified, and professionally throughout.

    Music producers, media representatives, and industry executives attended, emphasizing the event’s national importance.

    The Programme Included Visual Presentation In Jackson’s Career

    Jackson entered hall amid applause, ovations honoring five decades’ Nigerian-African music legacy.

    He moved to the stage with dignity, carrying fifty years’ legacy of musical innovation and contribution.

    The programme included a visual presentation highlighting Jackson’s career, including the artists he produced.

    King Sunny Ade, Onyeka Onwenu, Christy Essien-Igbokwe, Majek Fashek, The Mandators, and Chris Okotie.

    Some of his most influential productions, including “Send Down the Rain,” “Rat Race,” and “Crisis,” were acknowledged as timeless works that contributed to Nigeria’s musical heritage.

    He hosted evening with expertise, ensuring the ceremony flowed smoothly, dignified, and professionally throughout.

    I am still very much in the game, Jackson said, “I appreciate what today’s producers are doing, but I have done the research”.

    I am ready for another strike, one that will shake the world again.”

     30-Year Anniversary Presention

    The award citation described Jackson as “One of Africa’s most celebrated producers, a proud son of Akwa Ibom State whose work shaped Nigeria’s Golden Era of Music Revolution.”

    The award formalised his position as a leading figure in Nigeria’s music industry and affirmed his enduring influence across Africa.
