From the first quarter of next year, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Group in Akwa Ibom State will be stepping up its activities. What will be the core mission of the group as it aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda?
Prince Ikim
Our core mission will be to connect national vision with grassroots realities. As President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda continues to shape national direction, our focus will be on ensuring that its principles are clearly understood and embraced at the community level. We will work to translate policy direction into practical narratives that speak directly to the everyday concerns of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
Media Directorate
Grassroots mobilisation will feature prominently in your plans. Why will this approach be central to your strategy ahead of the 2027 general election?
Prince Ikim
Grassroots engagement will be the foundation of our strategy. From the first quarter of next year, we will be moving beyond episodic mobilisation to sustained community engagement. Our activities will be anchored at the ward and local government levels, where trust will be built through consistency and visibility. This approach will allow us to consolidate support organically and position the Renewed Hope agenda as a shared project rather than a top down campaign.
Media Directorate
How will the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Group communicate President Tinubu’s national policies in ways that will resonate with communities across Akwa Ibom State?
Prince Ikim
We will prioritise relevance and clarity in our communication. National policies will be discussed in terms of their practical impact on livelihoods, youth empowerment, small businesses, and community development. By framing national reforms within local realities, we will ensure that people can clearly see how the Renewed Hope agenda will translate into tangible benefits for their communities.
Media Directorate
What leadership structure will be put in place to sustain this mobilisation effort across the state?
Prince Ikim
We will implement a structured and coordinated leadership framework that will include ward-based representatives, local government coordinators, and thematic engagement teams. Leadership will focus on accessibility, accountability, and responsiveness. Through this structure, we will maintain a continuous presence within communities and ensure that engagement does not fade outside election periods.
Media Directorate
Akwa Ibom State holds strategic importance within the South South region. How will this influence your planning towards 2027?
Prince Ikim
Our planning will be guided by the strategic role Akwa Ibom plays within the South South. We will engage communities with sensitivity to historical concerns, development priorities, and expectations of inclusion at the federal level. By positioning Akwa Ibom as an active stakeholder in the Renewed Hope project, we will strengthen political confidence and foster long term alignment with President Tinubu’s leadership.
Media Directorate
You have spoken about political ownership. How will this concept be applied in practice going forward?
Prince Ikim
Political ownership will be central to our mobilisation model. Supporters will be encouraged to see themselves as partners in the Renewed Hope project. We will promote dialogue, feedback, and grassroots initiative, enabling community members to organise and advocate within their own spaces. This approach will help reduce voter apathy and strengthen commitment, particularly among young people and first-time voters.
Media Directorate
As preparations begin in earnest from the first quarter of next year, how prepared will the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Group be for the journey towards 2027?
Prince Ikim
We will approach the journey with confidence and discipline. Our readiness will be built on planning, structure, and clarity of purpose. From the first quarter of next year, we will expand our outreach steadily, strengthen our internal coordination, and deepen our engagement across the state. With sustained effort and credible leadership, we will be well positioned to contribute meaningfully to President Tinubu’s success in 2027.
Media Directorate
Finally, what message will you be sending to supporters and stakeholders across Akwa Ibom State as activities commence?
Prince Ikim
Our message will be one of inclusion and shared responsibility. Renewed Hope will be presented not as a slogan, but as a collective commitment to progress. We will invite all stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State to engage constructively, participate actively, and help build a political movement rooted in trust, dialogue, and grassroots strength.
