Former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State and a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obong Nsima Ekere, has stated that the party is firmly on track for a victorious 2027 electoral cycle, citing renewed unity and strategic leadership.

In an interaction with reporters over the weekend, Ekere pointed to the recent stakeholders’ meeting convened by Governor Umo Eno as a clear demonstration that unity remains the party’s greatest asset in the state.

“Unity is the bedrock of the APC family in Akwa Ibom State. We are indeed cruising towards 2027 as a united front, courtesy of the ‘Akwa Ibom United’ ideology propagated and nurtured by Governor Umo Eno with the support of party faithful and the people of Akwa Ibom,” he declared.

The former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) praised the governor’s framework, which emphasizes “order, consultation, and fairness,” as a critical step toward building a robust and democratic party structure.

“The level of collaboration and shared purpose among our leaders is both reassuring and timely. This isn’t merely about politics; it’s about a committed to the tangible development and progress of Akwa Ibom. With this foundation, our march toward 2027 is not just hopeful; it is assured,” Ekere stated.

He further emphasized the importance of the Governor’s newly formed Implementation Committee, tasked with ensuring the upcoming party congresses are conducted with integrity.

Furthermore, he called on every member of the party “to stay true to the APC’s progressive ideals, to work diligently at the grassroots, and to trust in this renewed, unified leadership.”

“Together, we are building an unstoppable force destined to deliver a glorious victory for the APC and a new era of prosperity for Akwa Ibom State in 2027,” he assured.
