The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has applauded the unanimous endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno by the traditional rulers of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a congratulatory statement issued in Uyo on Sunday, the State Coordinator of the group, Obong Prince Akpan Ikim, said the royal endorsement reflects the deep confidence of the traditional institution in the leadership, performance, and commitment to development shown by the three leaders at the national and state levels.

Ikim described the endorsement as both symbolic and strategic, noting that it aligns perfectly “with the core objective of his group, which is to promote continuity, stability, and good governance under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.”

He stressed that the inclusion of the state’s Governor and the Senate President, who is an indigene of the district, in the endorsement strengthens a shared vision for the progress of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Coordinator, who also leads FOCUS—a grassroots mobilisation movement—reaffirmed the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ resolve to intensify engagement across all communities, wards, and local government areas. This effort is to ensure that the confidence expressed by the traditional rulers translates into a decisive electoral victory in 2027.

“We will work diligently to ensure that this confidence translates into electoral victory in 2027, for the benefit of our people and the progress of our nation,” he stated.

The endorsement by the traditional council is seen as a significant early boost for the APC as momentum builds towards the 2027 elections.
